  1. I want to learn art because I love art and believe in the power of art. I wish I could express myself in form of arts. I like to work on project that is able to show who I am. I have been drawing and doodling since i was in the first grade and participated in Studio Art 2D and 3D last year. I want to learn the appreciation of art and to improve my ability to introduce myself with creativity and also develop my own style. I will keep working on my projects for portfolio. I enjoy doing art and anything about art.

  2. I chose to study art because I think the ideas that I want to express could only be expressed through art. Maybe words can somewhat describe my mind, but it wouldn't fit as well as art, because art is not describing, it IS the image in my mind. I like to doodle and draw anime stuff. However, when I get serious, it's going to show how I roll (but mostly I just do sketch, Photoshop and watercolor, because they're the three main subject I'm exposed to). I've been drawing since I learned how to hold a stick. I learned watercolors and Photoshop when I got into middle school. I only started doing serious photography during my highschool years. And I want to learn about all kinds of media, because I know I'm not a really diverse person in art, so I really want to try out acrylic, pastel, and mostly some 3D stuff. I have no idea, yet, about what I'm going to be doing in college for art. I don't want to go fully art, I want to associated with art, because I believe art is not my only road.

  3. I want to study art because I really like to design and I can express myself while I'm working on art works. I'm interested in product design and also advertisement design. When I was a child, I didn't really have art class in school so I often just doodling. I had participated in 3D and 2D studio last year in PAS and now in AP 3D studio art and also studio art honor. I think my 2D skills aren't that good so I really want to learn the skills. I also want to learn different computer programs because I like digital art, too. For college, I will want to study product design but I don't think I will just focus on art because I also want to learn about management.

  4. To me, art seems like a critical principal in my daily life. I love beauties. If someone asks me to choose to live in either a luxurious apartment in a big city like NYC or a cabin surrounded by a naturally gorgeous forest, I will choose to live in the cabin. Honestly, I just can't live without green plants. And this is how my appreciation to art has built up. I want to study art because I would love to beautify everything that I've seen, particularly the environment that I'm living in. There was once I was absolutely stunned when I looked out the window while my dad was driving the car on the highway at night. I can't help falling in love with the twinkling lights imitating the stars in the sky located on different skyscrapers. Since then, I have realized that my inspirations of art usually occur at nights. In my opinion, I think, at present, I'm still lacking the basic artistic elements in order to make myself a good designer. And that is the major motivation of me to make myself take art lessons. In the upcoming future in college, I would love to major in architecture in order to design and contribute to making our environment a better place.

The reason I'm studying art is I'm interest in art and I would like to know the background information in order to understand the terms and history of the course more. By knowing more about the history of the art I'm learning, I'm able to understand and even apply the different techniques that were discussed in class. I like to do three dimensional art. 3D art projects are a lot more fun for me because I get to actually make it how I want it instead of erasing over and over again to draw something that I'm satisfied with. I had art lessons when I was in elementary but stopped in middle school. I started drawing again when high school started. I'm now doing my own watercolor projects as well as projects assigned in class.I want to learn more techniques in order to present my pieces in a more formal and trained manner. In college, I'm hoping to focus more on three dimensional art but also have more contact with photography and design/styling.
